From 1 July 2021, NZ Post/Courier Post will require an age-restricted R18 sticker to be applied to all courier parcels containing vape related products.

This R18 sticker indicates to your courier driver that the contents of your parcel are intended for persons 18+. As a result, your courier driver may ask to see your ID upon delivery to verify your age. To make this process as smooth as possible, it is important to make sure that the name and details on your order match those on your ID.

Here at VAPELAB, our standard procedure is to dispatch all parcels with a signature required upon delivery. From July 1, this will become mandatory. As a result, you will no longer be able to give your courier driver authority to leave your parcel. This means you must be present at the delivery address when your parcel arrives in order to sign for it. If you will not be present at the given delivery address when your package arrives, you can choose to designate another person to accept and sign for your delivery. This person will also be required to present a valid ID.

If you appear to be under the age of 25, you should expect your courier driver will request to view your ID upon delivery. The delivery driver does not have to deliver your parcel if they have reasonable grounds to believe that you are under the age of 18.

If you have any other questions regarding shipping, please refer to our shipping information page. Alternatively, you can contact us via email at hello@vapelab.co.nz, we’ll be happy to assist with any queries you may have.
