Is VAPELAB a New Zealand business
Yes, VAPELAB was founded here in Aotearoa. VAPELAB started out in 2016 as an online vape store. One year later, we opened up our first vape shop in New Zealand’s Capital, Wellington. You can now find us right in the heart of the city on the fun and vibrant Ghuznee Street or in the bustling city district on Victoria street.
Vaping safety and etiquette
Vaping is generally recognised as a safer alternative to traditional tobacco products with a 2016 working party report from the Royal College of Physicians finding that the hazard to health arising from long-term vapour inhalation from e-cigarettes/vaping devices available today is unlikely to exceed 5% of the harm from smoking tobacco.
While vaping is legal in New Zealand, the requirements of the Smokefree Environments and Regulated Products (Vaping) Amendment Act 2020 apply. Please be respectful of others and abide with the requirements of the Act when vaping in public.
All of our devices and e-liquids are strictly R18+. Ensure that all vaping products are safely out of reach of children and animals.
Device and battery safety
As with any other electronic product, take care not to expose your vape to water or extremes of temperature. Do not use if damaged. Always charge your device where you can keep an eye on it.
If using an unregulated mechanical mod please ensure that you have a sound understanding of Ohm’s law and battery safety.
Do your products carry warranty
All our products carry limited warranty for manufacturing faults. Under New Zealand consumer law the customer is responsible for the return postage of the product to us.
We accept product returns and will provide a repair, replacement, or refund where:
- The product is faulty or is not of acceptable quality; or
- The product is not fit for its intended purpose; or
- The product does not match the description; and
- You can present a valid receipt or other adequate proof of purchase.
This policy only applies to products with a valid manufacturing defect, and does not cover drops, physical damage, user error and normal wear and tear. If a defective item is returned and shows signs of being dropped and damaged and this may have caused the defect, we reserve the right to refuse a refund or exchange.
All returned items must include all original parts, packaging, and components within reason. If you do not have the original packaging we will not accept this as a return.
Pre-built atomisers and Coils: A DOA policy of 36 hours on atomisers and coils applies as these are classed as consumables (designed to be used and thrown away after a certain amount of time). Keep in mind that coils must have adequate liquid in the wicking material prior to firing to ensure the coil doesn't burn out.
Batteries: While batteries are also considered a consumable, in the case of an item being DOA we will happily replace it within two weeks from the purchase date (14 days).
How long does it take for me to receive my online order
The crew here at VAPELAB are committed to getting your package out to you as soon as possible! Once we receive your order we pack it up and hand it over to NZ POST or DHL express that same day. For NZ non-rural locations your order will typically arrive the next business day, rural deliveries usually take 2-3 business days. If you are getting your order sent to Australia, it takes approximately 2-7 business days. If you are outside of NZ or AU, DHL express worldwide delivery can take up to 6 days for your order to arrive.
